Leopold and Wolman Planform Channel Classification:

  • Straight
  • Meandering
  • Braided
Reference(s):
  • Leopold, L. B., and Wolman, M. G. (1957). River channel patterns: braided, meandering, and straight, U.S. Govt. Print. Off., Washington.
